Discover Aldonia Rioja, the grenache red wine from La Rioja.

Bodegas Aldonia is a family-run winery located on the Camino de Santiago in Navarrete, and takes its name from the derivation of “La Dona”, one of the family’s noblest vineyards. Initially influenced by Bordeaux winemaking techniques in the early 20th century, today the estate is run by the 4th generation of winemakersis.

We have embarked on creating our own style of wine focusing vineyard work done by hand and the utmost respect for the grapemake.

Our wines are different from many other Riojas as they show their own personality based on Garnacha vineyards and cultivated at height (some above 850 meters of altitude). All our wines have more than 60% of Grenache and some in particular, up to 100%. The productions are very scarce and are aged mostly in 500 liters barrels to respect the purity of the wine and avoid the masking of the wood.

We do not follow the conventional categories, instead choosing to maintain the essence and elegance of the Rioja terroir.
